I am salaried GP working in Edinburgh and i am interested in doing a sabbatical for 6 weeks in Malawi .The convenient time for me to leave my practice would be between Jan-March 2010 . Would there be any useful projects i could be involved in? Do you have any contacts who might be interested in a volunteer doctor?

Thanks for your kind words. We have concentrated on Southern Malawi initially for logistic reasons. We have built the project slowly using personal links and don’t want to overstretch ourselves. In time we hope more and more Malawi Clinics can be linked to the Internet and would welcome working with others to acheive this.

It looks you are doing very recommendable job. In Malawi this project is only being facilitated in the Sountern Region. I am a Librarian at Ekwendeni College of Health Sciences situated in the Northern Region of Malawi. My question now lies on why do you not extend this programmes to other regions of the country?
